Job description

NDT Operator

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all procedures as noted on control plans and process sheets for the Eddy Current, NDT machines and Tappers.
  • Act properly and timely when out of control conditions or nonconforming product is detected.
  • Effectively communicate job related information.
  • Complete setups and changeovers as required for the Eddy Current, NDT machines and Tappers.   
  • Stage parts to allow for proper flow from one operation to the next.
  • Maintain a clean safe, and organized work area.
  • Perform all other duties as required.

Competency Requirements:

  • Understand process sheets used in production.

  • Perform independently the setup and changeover processes for the Eddy Current, NDT machine and Tappers. 

  • Understand and follow internal quality policy and job-related procedures.

  • Knowledge and use of measuring equipment used in production area.

  • Operate the Eddy Current, NDT machine and Tapper to meet production requirements.
