Job description

Apprentice Electrician Job Description: Assists journeyman and master electrician while eagerly learning to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems. Need at minimum of a high school diploma, basic hand tools, reliable transportation, and an official Electrical Apprentice License for the states of: Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Help pull wiring, bend conduit, and mount electrical boxes on commercial, industrial, or residential sites. Maintain a safe, clean work area, and organize tools and materials on job sites. Set up job sites, dig trenches, and transport materials and equipment. Safely use, maintain, and transport hand and power tools (e.g., wire strippers, benders, saws, threading machines, multi-meter). Learn to test & troubleshoot electrical systems, locate shorts, and replace defective parts using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment. Review and interpret basic electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. Adhere strictly to the National Electric Code (NEC), OSHA safety guidelines and company safety policies, including proper use of PPE. Must possess or be immediately eligible to acquire a valid Apprentice Electrician registration. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must comfortably lift up to 51 - 60 lbs, bend, stoop, and perform overhead work while climbing ladders or scaffolding. Ability to positively identify wire colors, read basic schematics, and follow both verbal and written instructions. Capable of standing, bending, crawling, and lifting/moving heavy equipment. Basic math skills, normal color vision (to identify wire colors), and mechanical reasoning. Basic personal hand tools of the trade are frequently required.
