Purpose of Position: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production and plant support systems.

  • Hourly rate: $45.21 plus bonus opportunities
  • 2-10PM or 10-6AM and 3-4 weekends a month, typically one weekend a month off.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors all equipment to ensure reliability utilizing condition monitoring methodologies and specialized tools.
  • Repairs, installs, troubleshoots, adjusts, modifies, and services all types of production equipment (including , but not limited to, valves, all rotating equipment, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plant utilities infrastructure, material transfer systems, plant instrumentation and electrical relays).
  • Reads ladder logic to troubleshoot and is able to modify ladder logic code.
  • Participates in the preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, 5S, and E.I. Teams
  • Executes all precision maintenance activities utilizing high-precision measurement technology.
  • Executes and supervises proper Metal Fabrication, Welding (MIG/TIG/STICK) and Pipefitting.
  • Construction Maintenance, Concrete, Asphalt and Carpentry.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis events.
  • Completes work orders in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Assists in creating new, updating and optimizing Job Plans.
  • Generates equipment layout drawings. Basic drafting.
  • Assists in creating Bill of Materials.
  • Participates on Lean events, safety and 5S teams.
  • Maintains open communication with production technicians.
  • Ensures maintenance work execution is completed within allocated time to the highest quality standards.
  • Mentoring, guiding and coaching of apprentice level technicians.
  • Crew leadership and provide support to other maintenance technicians.
  • Identifies and reports opportunities for improvement of PM's and spare parts controls.
  • Participates on Equipment Improvement Teams.
  • Works within an environment focused on the reduction of unplanned downtime.
  • Works collaboratively with other functional areas to ensure accomplishment of overall plant objectives.
  • Applies lean manufacturing tools & principles in maintenance activities.
  • Performs autonomous care and housekeeping.
  • Documents spare parts usage.
  • Works within scheduling requirements.
  • Drive Mobile Equipment (Forklift, Crane, Boom lift, Scissor lift, Skid-steer).
  • Use of computer software: CMMS (Maximo), Email, MS Office Suite.

  • Reports to the Maintenance Manager
  • Interacts daily with production technicians and functional department leaders: Maintenance Supervisor, Production, Engineering, and KPS

Job Requirements

  • Certified Master status in a skilled trades discipline OR associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical technology with 5 years manufacturing related or control programming experience
