About the role:
- Assist with the repair, maintenance, calibration, and installation of industrial instrumentation in mining and milling operations.
- Support the reading and interpretation of control schematics, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Help inspect, test, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of components such as sensors, transmitters, control valves, and actuators.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks under supervision and support completion of calibration and maintenance reports.
- Accurately record work performed, including maintenance activities and work orders, in the maintenance management system (e.g., Oracle eAM).
- Learn to identify potential equipment issues and report observations to support reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with technicians, operators, and maintenance teams to support safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
College diploma in electrical and/or instrumentation technician or another related field.
- Apprentices may be considered in accordance with business and legislative requirements.
Relevant Experience:
- Previous experience in open pit mining or mineral processing (specifically gold processing) is considered an asset.
