ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize is seeking to hire a full-time Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at the Lewisville, TX location.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Maintains, inspects, repairs, moves, and/or installs plant machinery and equipment in accordance with instructions, equipment manuals, etc.
  • Completes work orders in a timely manner by installing, repairing and fabricating materials out of metal.
  • Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment and report findings to Area Manager.
  • Assists personnel as may be required for the purposes of supporting them in the completion of their activities.
  • Maintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures.
  • Assures compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Inspection of condition and operation of plant equipment and perform necessary repairs and adjustments.
  • Disassembles and repairs production equipment by replacing worn or broken parts, including bearings, rollers, motors, controls, etc.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Specialized training in trade school, technical school, apprenticeships, or manufacturers' training program.
  • Have basic computer proficiency and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Can work in a team atmosphere and learn new tasks.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

Additional Requirements:
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
