Job Summary 

Loenbro is hiring a  Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of Journeyman Electricians, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of industrial / commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.  

Essential Job Responsibilities  

  • Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of skills and processes under the instruction of a skilled electrician. 
  • Demonstrate these skills and processes as on-the-job training progresses by working independently or with others to complete assigned tasks. 
  • Learn and understand the importance of safety within the workspace and across projects 
  • Learn about the various tools and materials required for electricians to complete tasks and projects. 
  • Maintain good housekeeping and organization in the work area. 
  • Properly utilize the required tools and equipment for each specific task. 

Required:  

  • Have between 2-4 years (4000-7500 OJT hours) of electrical work experience 
  • Strong understanding of the importance of quality work 
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others to promote efficiency

Work Environment: 

  • Outdoor construction setting with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, extreme weather, uneven terrain, and other environmental factors. 
  • Frequent visits to outdoor construction sites with exposure to weather extremes. 
  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search. 
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel 

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
