Job description

As theTrailer Apprentice 2 you will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Trailer Technicians, and the other Tractor Technicians to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action. This position will work outsideof the shop running our Mobile Repair Unit.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of Level 2 Heavy Equipment Technician
  • You will be a registered Apprentice with theAlberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board
  • Passed the Apprenticeship entry exam
  • The desire to obtain your Journeyman's certificate will be key to your success in this position
  • Experience working on trailers as aheavy duty technician would be an asset
  • Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities
  • Ability to provide superior customer service to our Drivers
  • Willingness to work outside in all temperatures
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers' License.

  • May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less.
