Job description

Job Title: Journeyman Carpenter

We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Carpenter with strong experience in general construction and residential remodeling. This is a full-time position ideal for someone who is passionate about craftsmanship, values professionalism, and is committed to delivering exceptional work.

The ideal candidate will have a wide range of carpentry and construction experience, including cabinet installation, framing, drywall, flooring, and finish work. You will work closely with project managers and foremen to complete high-quality residential remodeling projects on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

· Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions to complete construction tasks

· Assemble and install both custom and prefabricated cabinetry, vanities, and built-ins

· Perform finish carpentry, including trim work, baseboards, crown molding, and door/window installation

· Assist with general residential remodeling tasks, including drywall hanging and finishing, flooring (wood, vinyl, tile), painting, tiling, and light framing

· Operate and maintain power tools and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently

· Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure project integration

· Maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on jobs when required

· Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety on the job site

· Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements:

· Minimum 3 years of experience in residential carpentry or general construction (Journeyman level preferred)

· Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, routers, levels, and nail guns

· Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and OSHA guidelines

· Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

· Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
