Job description

Job Title: VDC Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled VDC Engineer to join our team. The VDC Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the planning, visualization, and computer modeling of construction projects. This role involves working closely with BIM Modelers, architects, and clients to create cohesive construction plans. This is an onsite position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize design and modeling software to create detailed 3D models and 2D shop drawings.
  • Collaborate with project teams, architects, and designers to ensure accurate and up-to-date information across departments.
  • Perform quality checks on models to validate completeness, alignment, and constructability.
  • Generate construction drawings using CADD and AutoCAD software.
  • Analyze data on costs, materials, and labor to support project planning and execution.
  • Support the integration of VDC/BIM software initiatives across the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Experience with BIM software programs and technology, such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
  • Strong technical expertise in 3D modeling and computer-aided design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
