Job description


As a Payments Sales Manager (PSM) within the Corporate Sales team, you are responsible for business development and relationship management within the Enterprise Technology vertical. Your market includes companies in the software and cloud, hardware, semiconductor, cybersecurity, IT services, and IT distribution spaces. You will be expected to build strong pipeline momentum and to sell products in line with annual sales goals. As a leader on the team, you are responsible for the end-to-end client experience.
Job responsibilities:
  • Expand J.P. Morgan Payments relationships with Technology clients and targeted prospects via virtual and in-person calling
  • Deploy needs-based/consultative selling techniques to deliver tailored Payments solutions and build Pipeline momentum
  • Ensure portfolio financial integrity-drive revenue growth and maintain target profitability
  • Acquire deep understanding of client business environments and strategies to help them meet financial objectives
  • Partner closely with Corporate Banking, Product Solutions, Product Management, Client Service, Onboarding/Implementation, and Advisory colleagues
  • Engage offshore Subsidiary Bankers and Payments Sales Managers to advance global opportunities
  • Maintain familiarity with the competitive landscape and effectively position J.P. Morgan Payments
  • Write proposals and develop presentations, proactively and in response to RFIs/RFPs
  • Share client knowledge and insights across internal coverage teams to maintain alignment and coordination
  • Develop and refine portfolio strategy through Account Planning and wallet share analysis
  • Cultivate Payments Sales Associates (PSAs) and Payments Client Managers (PCMs) through coaching, partnership, and apprenticeship.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 8+ years of experience in transaction banking sales
  • Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem including Core Cash Management, Liquidity Management, Merchant acquiring, Commercial Card, transactional Foreign Exchange and Trade
  • Strong ability to cultivate senior and executive client relationships
  • Familiarity with working capital dynamics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a relevant field

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience working with technology companies including: software and cloud, hardware, semiconductor, cybersecurity, IT services, and IT distribution
  • CTP and/or CertICM credentials
