Job description

Tooling Mechanic
Company:
Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) has an exciting opportunity for a Tooling Mechanic to support the Tooling Team in Berkeley, MO!
Position Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate, maintain, modify, & install various forms of tooling, such as large and small engineering test fixtures, fabrication equipment, etc. in collaboration with engineering design teams
  • Utilize manual equipment to fabricate or modify various tooling components
    (Examples: Marvel saw, mill, manual lathe, surface grinder, drill press, etc.)
  • Other responsibilities to include: Blueprint Reading, 3D Model Interrogation, Machining, Tooling Inspection, Laser Tracking

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years' of experience working in a tool fabrication environment.
  • High school graduate or GED

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with Aerospace tool fabrication
  • Certificate or Degree or Technical Trade School Certificate (Or appropriate apprenticeship completion)
  • 1+ years' of experience in programming & operating CNC machinery
  • Experience with Software (MasterCAM, NX, Verisurf, etc.)
  • Experience using manual inspection and CPU driven equipment such Laser Trackers

Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of one hundred twenty (120) calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the probationary period.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required
