Freyssinet, Inc. is currently looking to hire Construction Laborers for projects in the Nova region.

Work locations:

  • Wytheville, VA
  • Richmond, VA
  • Fincastle, VA
  • Emporia, VA

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations;
  • Recognize and correct safety hazards;
  • Safely clean and maintain work site and equipment;
  • Support all field activities as required for project;
  • Operate equipment once trained and approved to do so.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Build and set forms for concrete foundations and other concrete building elements;
  • Be skilled in use of necessary hand and power tools;
  • Perform manual labor related tasks to support projects;
  • Comfortably work from heights;
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb, or crawl;
  • Ability to exert heavy, physical effort. Handling average weight objects up to 50lbs
  • Listen, understand, and follow directions;
  • Comply with all safety procedures and practices and immediately correct unsafe conditions or behavior within the scope of ability;
  • Remain flexible on work assignments;
  • Possess excellent communication skills and work with a variety of personalities;
  • Perform basic arithmetic as needed;
  • Responsible for loading and unloading of materials and equipment;
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers;
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen;
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Education & Experience:

  • Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred;
  • Must have at least 1-2 years of prior experience in bridge or concrete repair;
  • Must have the ability to pass required safety certifications.
