As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your essential duties will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the specific mental health needs of your clients.
• Facilitating open and effective communication among supervisors, team members, family members, and other stakeholders to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
• Providing supervisors with a structured schedule of appointments, home visits, and other relevant activities to track and monitor client progress.
• Coordinating home visits and in-home observations in compliance with our care protocols and documentation standards.
• Implementing and ensuring adherence to the individualized treatment plans for clients.
• Actively participating in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings to collaborate on client care and case management strategies.
• Documenting patient progress through timely completion of monthly and quarterly progress notes.
• Organizing and leading training sessions to maintain staff competency concerning program implementation and documentation processes.
• Providing ongoing support to clients through follow-up interviews and observations to ensure their evolving needs are met.
• Maintaining comprehensive and precise records for easy access by relevant stakeholders.
• Acting as a liaison with the broader mental health community to enhance development and support initiatives.
• Assisting in the creation of training materials aimed at improving program delivery for clients.

Your role will encompass working with diverse populations, including both youth and adults. You will address a variety of mental health challenges, offering tailored support to help clients achieve stability and wellness. Your work will directly impact their ability to function in daily life and improve their overall quality of living.

Candidates for this position must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) within Massachusetts.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally within a clinical setting.
• A solid foundation in legal and ethical standards governing mental health practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in establishing rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems and related technologies for patient documentation and management.

While the above qualifications are required, candidates with additional experience in specialized areas such as family therapy, couples counseling, substance misuse, or trauma-informed care will be highly regarded.
