Job description

The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE), the state’s largest organization for educators, is seeking candidates for the position of a Front Desk Administrative Assistant.

The Front Desk Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting PAGE by managing front desk operations and performing a variety of administrative, clerical, and membership-related tasks. This position requires a reliable individual who can work on-site, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Serving as the daily receptionist, this person will ensure smooth office operations through excellent customer service, accurate data management, and effective coordination of office activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary front desk receptionist by answering and transferring incoming phone calls, greeting visitors, and addressing general inquiries.
  • Provide excellent customer service to members and callers via phone and email.
  • Support internal meetings and events by scheduling, communicating with participants, preparing materials (agendas, printed resources), and arranging catering.
  • Assist Directors and Supervisors with booking hotel accommodations as needed.
  • Manage a shared office calendar in Microsoft Outlook, including scheduling meetings and coordinating availability for staff and departments.
  • Support the Finance Department by processing miscellaneous invoices, conduct remote bank deposits using accounting software and maintain/update vendor W-9 forms as needed.
  • Support the Membership Department by processing applications, creating and updating member accounts, recording/posting check payments, and handling membership mailings.
  • Perform mailroom duties including processing incoming/outgoing mail, picking up and dispersing mail from a nearby postal facility, and preparing packages (FedEx/UPS).
  • Maintain and replenish general office supplies to support daily operations.
  • Order premiums/swag and materials for events and conferences as directed.
  • Accept and perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Administrative Services, other department supervisors and the Executive Director.

This employee is required to work at the PAGE office in Atlanta, 2971 Flowers Road, Suite 151, Atlanta, GA. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The beginning salary is $ 38,000 based on experience, with an attractive health and retirement benefits package.
