Job Description Position Overview Spiral Solutions & Technologies, Inc. (SS&T) is seeking a Front-End Developer to support the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Joint Exercises, Training, and Assessment Directorate (J7). The Front-End Developer provides front-end development and visualization support for USSTRATCOM assessment data, dashboards, and decision-support tools. The selected candidate will develop user interfaces with modern web technologies, integrate data-driven applications, and support analytics products that enable senior leader decision-making across campaign, operations, and Joint Force assessments. Security Clearance Requirements This position supports classified programs and requires access to classified systems and material. All contractor personnel must be United States citizens and possess a Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information, Nuclear Command and Control/Extremely Sensitive Information, and Special Access Program access prior to commencing work. Requirements Key Responsibilities • Create tools and dashboards to support decision-making across competition, planning in crisis, combat, risk, exercise, and other-directed assessments. • Develop graphic user interfaces and connectors that enable seamless interaction between data repositories and visualization platforms. • Build and support interactive, web-based data visualizations and dashboards using modern front-end libraries and frameworks. • Collaborate in iterative cycles to ensure analytics deliverables align with evolving requirements and priorities. • Gather input from stakeholders to refine tools, reports, and workflows for improved usability and relevance. • Generate clear, tailored reports and disseminate results across multiple organizational levels to inform strategic decisions. • Support structured data systems that ensure accuracy, maintainability, scalability, and secure access. • Assist with integration of external data sources and connectors, including support for database-driven applications and visualization platforms. • Contribute to data and analytics efforts that use emerging analytical techniques, visualization methods, and artificial intelligence or machine learning-enabled processes. • Participate in boards, bureaus, centers, cells, and working groups and support continuous improvement of assessment tools, processes, and products. Required Qualifications • Experience developing user interfaces with modern web technologies, specifically the React framework. • Experience with MAVEN Smart Systems. • Experience creating interactive, web-based data visualizations and dashboards using modern libraries. • Experience with database-driven applications, version control, and normalization. • Experience with automatization of tasks using languages like Python or JavaScript. • Familiarity with querying external databases via Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds. • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams. • A bachelor's degree or higher in data science, computer science, data analytics, business analytics, management information systems, statistics, applied mathematics, and/or applied physics or equivalent is required. • A minimum of 7 years of combined front-end development and visualization experience • U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications • Direct experience supporting USSTRATCOM, Combatant Command, or Department of Defense analytics, assessment, or visualization efforts. • Experience integrating front-end applications with databases, APIs, RSS feeds, and analytics platforms in classified or mission-focused environments. • Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and statistical modeling support to decision-support tools and visual analytics products.
