Requirements: 


5+ years of experience with Hadoop development and implementation 

Good knowledge on Hadoop Architecture and HDFS 

Proven understanding with Horton Works Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, and HBase, Sqoop, Apache Spark, Apache Storm 

Ability to write MapReduce jobs 

Hands on experience in HiveQL 

Ability to write Pig Latin scripts 

Managing and deploying HBase 

Parallel distributed processing based on the MapReduce paradigm with Apache Spark 

Experience with Java and shell scripting 

Experience with jenkins for Continuous Integration 

Good knowledge in back-end programming, specifically Java, JS, Node.js and OOAD 

Experience writing to network-based API's - preferably REST/JSON or XML/SOAP 

Analytical and problem solving skills, applied to Big Data domain 

Strong experience of deployments and administration in Linux/Unix environments 


Desirable: 


Knowledge with installation and configuring Hadoop based monitoring tools (NagiOS/ Ganglia) is a plus. 

Loading from disparate data sets - Familiarity with data loading tools like Flume, Sqoop. 

Knowledge of workflow/schedulers like Oozie. 

Familiarity with the Java ecosystem and enterprise offerings, including debugging and profiling tools (jconsole), logging and monitoring tools (log4j, JMX)
