Job description

EMPLOYER: AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP
TITLE: Senior Platform Engineer - CRM Applications
LOCATION: Wilmington, DE (A hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.)
HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hours/week)
DUTIES: Plan, analyze, design, configure, test, release, and implement Customer Relationship Management ("CRM") Platforms. Work with third-party suppliers and provide recommendations on enhancements, monitor performance, and support maintenance of deployed applications. Lead design and build for releases and projects on the Veeva CRM platform and related applications and integrations. Serve as an internal consultant for Information Technology ("IT") and business partners across regions and business areas. Identify platform exploitation and innovation opportunities, promote new platform features, run assessments and Proof of Concepts ("POCs") for new initiatives, and generate innovation ideas. Participate in business requirement gathering and design activities with business and IT partners. Lead delivery activities through Design, Build, Test, and Deploy phases for regular releases and key Veeva platform initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the position offered, as a Solution Architect, or a related position. Must have five (5) years of experience with all of the following: Utilizing Veeva CRM, OCE CRM (Orchestrated Customer Engagement), and Salesforce platform; Utilizing Veeva Vault, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Snowflake, and Databricks; Utilizing Apex, Visualforce, Lightning (Salesforce-specific), React.js, React Native, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware (including MuleSoft and SnapLogic); Utilizing Power BI and Generative AI methodologies; Drafting solution blueprints aligned with business requirements, platform capabilities, and technical constraints; Identifying platform initiatives, promoting new features, driving adoption, and enabling marketing technologies; Leading CRM release activities, overseeing configuration/customization and UX development for OCE CRM; and Onboarding new technologies, conducting proof-of-concepts (POCs) and hackathons, and influencing strategic roadmaps. Must have earned the following certifications: Veeva CRM Associate White Belt; and Veeva Align Business Administrator. 15% domestic travel is required to various and unanticipated company and client sites.
