Yaskawa is currently looking for a Motion Applications Engineer - Custom CNC Machine Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide CNC technical expertise and know-how to assist customers in the use of Yaskawa products and services to improve their application and processes. Working closely with our sales team, you will develop relationships with customers fostering "value add" growth opportunities and enhance the utilization of Yaskawa products and services. You will provide product, application, and process knowledge for projects and solutions from concept to completion.
The ideal candidate will have CNC design knowledge and experience, a BS degree in electrical, mechanical, computer or mechatronics engineering with emphasis in controls or machines. We are seeking candidates who have 3 to 5 years of experience involving Machine Tool design, tooling, user interface. Experience with at least one CNC manufacturing process is required, such as milling, routing, turning, plasma cutting, waterjet or laser cutting. Software Knowledge and exposure to G-code programming, CAD/CAM software suites such as Fusion is required. Experience programming PLCs (ladder logic, IEC61131-3), programming motion control systems and developing User Interfaces is highly desirable. Experience developing software (C#; Windows WPF; tools such as IDEs, programmer's editors, source control and issue tracking systems) is beneficial.
