As a Business Applications Engineer you will be responsible for;

  • Provision accounts, manage access controls, coordinate software upgrades, and maintain sys-tem backups
  • Build and maintain integrations with tools such as Tempo, Birdview (Easy Projects), and EazyBI
  • Serve as a go-to resource for best practices, workflow design, and appropriate tool usage
  • Tool Admin: Zendesk, qTest, HubSpot, Celigo, etc

Business Tool Administration
  • Administer additional platforms including Zendesk, qTest, HubSpot, Celigo, and others
  • Handle day-to-day operations: provisioning/deprovisioning accounts, monitoring alerts, resolv-ing reported issues
  • Keep tools current, ensure integrated systems work together as intended, and represent 4G Clin-ical in vendor relationships
  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or reduce cost across the tool stack

AI Platform Management
  • Administer 4G Clinical's AI platforms, including access management and token distribution
  • Stay current on platform capabilities and advise teams on effective usage

Scripting & Light Development
  • Write and maintain basic scripts and apps (Python, JavaScript, Forge) to support automation, custom workflows, etc
  • Grow comfortable reading and modifying code in the context of tool configurations, API inte-grations, and scheduled jobs
  • Leverage low-code/no-code automation features within platforms (e.g., Jira Automation, Zendesk Triggers) to reduce manual work

Communication & Collaboration
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders on timelines, current issues, and project status
  • Contribute meaningfully to cross-functional discussions beyond just the tools you directly man-age
  • Suggest process improvements and help guide rollout approaches
  • Navigate differing opinions on products and approaches professionally and constructively
  • Maintain strong documentation practices to eliminate single points of failure for systems and processes

Requirements
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Information Sys-tems, or equivalent field
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience administering and configuring Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into working solutions
  • Experience managing integrations between cloud-based business tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting to and collaborating with various levels of the organization
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to learn and grow scripting/coding skills; comfort with (or curiosity about) writing basic automation scripts

Preferred
  • Experience with one or more of: Zendesk, qTest, HubSpot, Celigo, EazyBI, Tempo, or Birdview
  • Familiarity with integration/automation platforms (e.g., Celigo, Zapier, or similar iPaaS tools)
  • Atlassian certification(s) (e.g., Jira Administrator, Confluence Administrator)
  • Experience working in a life sciences, clinical trials, or regulated industry environment
  • Exposure to AI/ML platforms and an interest in emerging technology
  • Vendor management experience
