Enterprise Application Administrator
Job Summary: The Enterprise Application Administrator is responsible for the administration, support, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise applications across the organization. This role ensures that critical business applications are reliable, secure, and optimized to support daily operations. The position works closely with project managers, server teams, enterprise monitoring teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deploy, troubleshoot, and enhance enterprise application solutions. The role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to support both operational stability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administers, supports, and maintains enterprise applications to ensure availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborates with project managers, server teams, and enterprise monitoring teams to implement and deploy enterprise applications supporting business operations.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues across enterprise application environments and coordinates resolution with internal teams and vendors.
  • Supports application environments running on Windows, Linux, web, and mobile platforms.
  • Assists with system integration, upgrades, patching, backup processes, and operational support for enterprise applications and related infrastructure.
  • Uses scripting and database knowledge to support automation, reporting, troubleshooting, and system maintenance activities.
  • Works effectively with customers, coworkers, vendors, and supervisors to communicate issues, explain system functionality, and support business needs.
  • Manages multiple priorities and projects while adapting to changing business requirements, product demands, and timelines.
  • Participates in team on-call rotation and provides operational support as needed.

Preferred Qualifications/Education/Experience:
  • Experience supporting enterprise application platforms such as IBM Sterling File Gateway, Hyland OnBase, Azure DevOps, OpenText Capture, UKG Workforce Management, Milestone, or Gallagher.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems such as McLeod or CargoWise.
  • Experience with data modeling, entity-relationship diagramming, normalization, T-SQL, triggers, and stored procedures.
  • Microsoft or other relevant technical certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Required Qualifications/Education/Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in a systems administration or enterprise application support role.
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux, Windows Server platforms, Active Directory, security software, and backup software and processes.
  • Experience supporting Windows, mobile, and web clients across PCs, smartphones, and tablets.
  • Working knowledge of software programming concepts and the ability to read pseudo-code.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Unix shell scripting, and Windows PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases.
  • Strong customer service, written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage one or more projects simultaneously and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities, company requirements, product demands, and purchasing timelines through strong analytical capabilities.
