Title: System Application Engineer


Location: Teaneck, NJ

Position Summary: Hanwha Vision America (HVA), an affiliate of the Hanwha Group, a Fortune Global 500 company, is an industry-leading provider of advanced network video surveillance products. These include IP cameras, storage devices, and video management systems founded on world-class technologies. We offer end-to-end security solutions and have achieved global success across a wide range of industry verticals, including transportation, education, retail, banking, healthcare, hospitality, airports, utilities, and critical infrastructure.

Hanwha Vision America seeks a highly experienced System Application Engineer to join our support team. In this position, you’ll be responsible for post-sales incidents and problem escalation, focusing on identifying root causes and providing resolutions in complex environments. You’ll also ensure proper testing, documentation, and deployment of workarounds and fixes, in addition to training the support team on how to resolve related incidents in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical
    • Reproduce, document, and report product issues escalated from technical support or Field Applications Team to Product Managers
      • Writing Sample required
    • Test, document, and deploy workarounds for fixes in development
    • Update and manage the issue log
    • Own complex support cases for business-critical customers
  • Training
    • Serve as Subject Matter Expert regarding the Hanwha Vision product line,
    • Providing Product training to the Technical Support Team, focusing on best practices in troubleshooting and product configuration

Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience in customer/end-user-facing roles
  • Korean Language required
  • Ability to travel on short notice. Travel (15-25%)
  • Excellent understanding and troubleshooting capabilities of intricate network-based security systems
  • Proven Aptitude in Root Cause Analysis
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Certifications in
    • CCNA/CCNE/Network +
    • Linux +
    • ASW or other Cloud Certification
  • In-depth knowledge of Incident and Problem management
  • Self-motivated and proven time management capabilities
  • 3-5 years’ experience supporting IP-based security systems or a related industry preference


Physical Demands:

  • Sitting/Travel: The role requires extended periods of sitting, including time spent traveling by car or plane, attending meetings, and working on a laptop or mobile devices while in offices, client locations, or remote settings. The position also involves periods of standing and walking during client visits and events.
