Summary

In this role, you’ll bridge the gap between technical execution and project delivery—ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and customers to bring complex projects from concept to completion and maintain customer products and relationships after launch. In this role you’ll use critical thinking, technical knowledge of injection molding, and personnel skills.

Essential Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.

  • Abide by all policies, procedures & work instructions including but not limited to the Employee Handbook.
  • Execute policies, procedures & work instructions as documented within Polyfab's software system as appropriate to the position (RD106-033, QMS Training Matrix).
  • Complete all appropriate paperwork in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
  • Strong emphasis on maintaining 5S. Maintain clean and safe work area.
  • Analyze new product projects for feasibility and DFM to determine information for quoting purposes.
  • Develop and execute detailed plans for new products from P.O. to release to production.
  • Analyze existing process for improvements in productivity and quality and for reductions in scrap and setup times.
  • Review preliminary mold designs to ensure conformance to standards and to optimize design before construction.
  • Works with mold maker to resolve discrepancies or implement revisions and improvements.
  • Attend or run appropriate samples ensuring product design and take required action to move projects to approval.
  • Work with all departments facilitating a successful product launch (quote through customer approvals and production launch).
  • Works with manufacturing to resolve issues, implement improvements, and identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Provide technical advice to other departments as required.
  • Accompany Sales for customer visits as required for new projects or to help resolve issues.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Two-year Associates degree and five years of related experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience. Four-year Technical or Engineering degree preferred.
  • Understanding of Scientific Molding principals and their application.
  • Experience with Solidworks and Moldex software a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of injection molding and related manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Applications.
