For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. Requirements:

Responsible for all aspects of the application intake process as assigned. Provides educational information to patients, families, and referrers. Maintains professional relationships with referrers. Assumes responsibility for the application process in the absence of the Senior Application RN.

Location: Bronx Campus

Status: Full - Time

Salary: $107,177.52 - $137,373.405 annually

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attentive to details and ability to provide meticulous and concise reports.
  • Minimum three years Supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work effectively with Medical Staff and other clinical disciplines.
  • Competency with computer peripherals and database management software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the age of the patient population served from adult to geriatric in the performance of job duties and responsibilities.
  • Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse License/Permit.
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing required, Masters Degree preferred.
