SUMMARY

We are looking for a Senior Application Manager who can bridge the gap between application functionality and business strategy. This role combines application lifecycle management with business analysis to ensure systems effectively support operational needs, process improvement, and organizational goals. You will be responsible for the overall health, performance, and strategic alignment of your assigned applications while serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Application Management

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned business applications, including planning, implementation, upgrades, support, and retirement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for application-related issues, enhancements, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure applications meet performance, availability, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage application configurations, integrations, and data flows between systems.
  • Coordinate testing, deployment, and change management activities for application updates.
  • Monitor application usage and performance, recommending optimizations and improvements.

Business Analysis & Project Management

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategic goals, processes, pain points and requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and process flows.
  • Analyze current-state processes and design future-state solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment and clarity
  • Develop and follow project plans
  • Validate solutions through user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure requirements are met

Technical Writing & Communication

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Application solutions, including:
  • Architecture diagrams, configurations, and support procedures.
  • End-user training documentation
  • Processes and Procedures for new application usage
  • Develop internal knowledge base articles and contribute to application enablement initiatives.
  • Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for stakeholders at all levels.

Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned applications within the organization.
  • Mentor junior support teams and contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business leaders to align application initiatives with organizational strategy.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance capabilities.

Education and Experience

4 Year/bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 4+ years of Application Implementation and Support Experience
  • 2+ years in business analysis and project management
  • Proficiency with SQL queries
  • Understanding of application lifecycle management and SDLC methodologies
  • Experience with design and implementation of applications, functional design, integrations, and data architecture.
  • Experience with data quality assurance best practices.
  • Experience delivering data mapping and accompanying documentation
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
