emergiTEL is hiring a Application Support Analyst for our client in the IT consulting industry. This is a Contract role.
Compensation: $60 - $70/hour
Location: Downtown Montreal (Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite)
Job Description (English)
General Information
  • Contract duration: Until November 11, 2026 (renewable)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting between 7-8 AM
  • On-call rotation: Weekends and public holidays (1 week out of 15)
  • Hybrid model with mandatory in-person attendance (Mondays or Fridays required)
  • 40 hours per week
  • Bilingual (English & French) required - CV must be in English
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 production and technical support within a multidisciplinary SRE team
  • Monitor, manage, and improve production environment performance and availability across application, infrastructure, and presentation layers
  • Handle incidents with rapid response (target response time: 5 minutes)
  • Plan and execute application deployments, load testing, and configuration changes
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on system performance and architecture improvements
  • Contribute to medium and large-scale technical projects including system migration and architecture reviews
  • Ensure production readiness and alignment with user needs
  • Identify process optimization opportunities and contribute to automation initiatives
  • Document system designs, architecture, and meeting outcomes
  • Participate in on-call support and incident resolution under pressure
Required Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of experience in application support in large enterprises (preferably financial sector)
  • Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills; working knowledge of Windows systems
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies (Docker)
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Dynatrace
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Shell scripting for automation
  • Experience with ServiceNow ticket management
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible, ArgoCD)
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and application lifecycle
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, load balancing, and firewalls
  • Familiarity with APIs and security tools like CyberArk or Vault
  • Exposure to SQL Server, Oracle, and NoSQL databases
  • Understanding of cloud-based platforms and infrastructure
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Curiosity and exposure to AI tools (experience not mandatory)

  • Participer aux rotations de support et resolution d'incidents sous pression
Qualifications requises
  • 7 a 10 ans d'experience en support applicatif dans de grandes entreprises (idealement secteur financier)
  • Excellente maitrise de Linux/Unix et bonne connaissance de Windows
  • Experience avec Kubernetes et Docker
