Job Title : Application System Architect - Level 3 position

Location : Salem, OR

Duration : 6 Months

Rate :  Open

 

System Architect Deliverables for MMIS DR project:

  Assist in creation of Statement of Work based on architectural knowledge of MMIS system

  Create list & system map of MMIS applications, servers & interfaces based on O&M documentation

  Determine if vendor meets system requirements of disaster recovery

  Assist in creating of implementation and maintenance plan for DR

  Assist in creation of system map and  list of DR servers & interfaces and crosswalk of current state to DR state

  Verify vendor created list of steps to create DR site

  Verify vendor created list of steps to transition to DR site, during disaster event

  Identify how MMIS application will function at DR site

  Assist in creation of Comprehensive BCP, inclusion of LT DR solution, and plan for continued updating/maintenance of BCP

  Assist in creation and modification of DR & BCP Test plan, test conditions & schedule

  Facilitate Collaboration between DR vendor and O&M vendor in creating DR site

  Assist in conducting and coordinating testing of DR & BCP and analysis of results

  Develop annual testing DR & BCP plan/schedule and risk mgmt. strategy

  Develop and aid the transition of DR activities to the internal O&M organization:

  Develop "hand-off" plan for future phases of MMIS DR

Responsible for the overall system design. Documents development requirements for database, applications, and operation system environment. Consults with end users to test and debug applications to meet client needs. Serves as expertise in all aspects of designing and application development. May conduct training to IT Staff. Requires a bachelor's degree and may be expected to have an advanced degree in area of specialty and at least six years or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor or specialist.
