Job description

We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our Managed Services team. You will design, integrate, and deploy AI solutions-including agentic applications, LLM inference, similarity search, guardrails, and model evaluation- to improve workflows and scalability, and to optimize the deployment, operation, and upgrade of InterSystems cloud solutions.
This role is ideal for a strong software engineer passionate about applying AI to real-world challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build prototypes and deliver production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI software components, including agentic applications, LLM inference, foundation model training, and AI-powered development tools.
  • Build AI-driven tools to improve the deployment, operation, and upgrade of InterSystems cloud solutions.
  • Evaluate and integrate agentic AI platforms into coding, testing, CI/CD, and operational workflows.
  • Lead proofs-of-concept, prototypes, and internal tooling to improve cloud-based service delivery.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive AI adoption and best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or platform engineering roles.
  • Experience building AI/ML solutions-such as agentic applications, LLM inference, similarity search, vector databases, guardrails, or memory systems.
  • Strong coding skills in Python or other languages such as C++ or ObjectScript.
  • Expertise in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or private cloud) and containerization technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, Replit)
  • Background in DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools
  • Contributions to open-source AI/ML frameworks or tools are a plus
