Job Description:
We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our team supporting our customer. In this role, the engineer will design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manage their implementation; manage software development and support using formal specifications,
data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools; estimate software development costs and schedule; review existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time and improving current techniques.
As an Engineer in this role, you will help monitor the heath and status of the analytic environment to perform security patching and updates, maintain up to date documentation, automate routine tasks through scripting., and evaluate and recommend solutions based on open source or commercial options.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 8 years experience in system administration / software engineering
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Apache Spark
  • Experience with Apache AirFlow
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Container Management (Registry/Harbor)
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with AWS
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security
  • Knowledge of Networking (Routers/Firewalls)

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field (w/o degree additional 2 yrs experience required; with Masters Degree 2 yrs less experience required
