Volt is immediately hiring for Application Engineer in Reno, Nevada 89506.
As an Application Engineer you will:
Responsibilities:
  • Work with drafters, engineers, and supervisors to produce the required documentation for customer orders or quotes.
  • Create drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of material.
  • Send drawings for approval, release order package to production, produce NMRs
  • Check drawings and BOM produced by others.
  • Ensure application designs meet applicable standards and codes.
  • Work with the quotations group, sales group, and/or customers to choose the proper products to meet the customer's needs.
  • Provide support to manufacturing regarding application engineering designs.
  • Provide electrical support and guidance to Drafters and Designers

This is a full time, contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience in motor control design, switchgear or switchracks
  • Hazardous location standards NEC/CEC/IEC/ATEX
  • Hands-on Electrical testing

Pay Range: $34.00 - $36.92 per hour
