The Opportunity
As a Tax Innovation and Delivery Experience Software Engineering Intern, you will engage in the dynamic world of software and product innovation, contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions within our Tax practice. This role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the complexities of the global tax landscape, where you will support teams in optimizing tax strategies and driving compliance. You will be part of a team that provides specialized tax advice and solutions tailored to specific industries, helping businesses navigate industry-specific tax challenges and opportunities.
As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will support teams with basic tasks, participate in projects, and conduct research while observing professional work environments. This role emphasizes the importance of adopting a learning mindset and taking ownership of your development. You will have the chance to work on a variety of assignments, each presenting different challenges and scope, allowing you to establish your personal brand and pave the way for future opportunities. In this role, you will actively listen, ask questions, and clearly express ideas, contributing to the team's success and adding value for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Supporting software engineering projects within the Tax Innovation team
- Participating in the development and implementation of software solutions using C#.NET and JavaScript
- Assisting in code reviews to maintain coding standards and improve software quality
- Collaborating with team members to understand functional requirements and contribute to software design
- Engaging in debugging activities to identify and resolve software issues
- Applying object-oriented design principles to enhance software architecture
- Utilizing REST Client and React Native for developing and testing software applications

What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer and Information Science, Computer Programming, Computer Systems Analysis
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application
