Responsibilities

Sourcing/Supplier Quality Engineer Intern Position Summary

The Sourcing/Supplier Quality Engineer intern will be responsible for providing technical support focusing on supplier quality projects. The intern will assist the Supply Chain & Quality department with projects from scope definition through implementation. This position will be located in Bloomington, MN for the summer of 2027.

 

Sourcing/Supplier Quality Engineer Intern Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide internal technical support for purchased materials
  • Assist with supplier evaluations and supplier corrective actions
  • Assist with documentation updates such as inspection procedures or drawings
  • Assist with the implementation of process improvements related to incoming materials, purchasing and suppliers.
  • Partners with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance as needed
  • Understands customer needs and the core business markets we serve
  • Supports and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Completes all other work duties as assigned
Qualifications

Sourcing/Supplier Quality Engineer Intern Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a four-year degree program for Supply Chain, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, specifications, requirements, standards, procedure manuals, etc.
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team building skills to create effective working coworkers
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Pay RangeUSD $25.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.Pay Range Details

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
