Overview

What You’ll Do

As a Director in an Agile development environment, you will bring designs and ideas to life for new and improved products and web applications.

  • Work with internal and external clients on current and upcoming projects that connect design, engineering, product development, and implementation to understand how those pieces impact infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with your team, business leaders, and project management to understand priorities and create automation accordingly.
  • Participate in daily scrums, choose user stories to complete, and keep up with timelines and coding standards.
  • Present and defend your team’s approach to leadership and partner across the organization to turn ideas into reality.
  • Continue to learn new technologies, maintain operational scaling and availability, and incorporate learning into product development.
  • Provide inclusive team leadership, develop the people around you, and foster an environment where every team member can thrive.
To Succeed in This Role
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, and 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with cloud-native technologies including Java (Java 8+), AWS, and enterprise Java with open-source tools.
  • Full-stack experience – front-end (Angular, NodeJS, Stencils, Flutter), back-end, and scripting.
  • Knowledge of microservices, Docker, Redis, REST/JSON, SQL/Oracle/Postgres.
  • DevOps and automated change management experience (Jenkins, Ansible, or similar).
  • Leadership experience – a minimum of seven years leading technology teams with an inclusive, collaborative style.
