Role Application Architect Location Northwest Indiana / Chicago area (remote) Pay Range $84.00/Hr. On W2 (Without Benefits) Duration 12 months (contract to hire)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role is focused on Application Architecture: Mainframe supporting steel manufacturing business applications. The candidate will work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand existing systems, business processes, and contribute to application development and support.

  • Develop and maintain mainframe applications.
  • Perform coding, debugging, testing, and enhancements.

  • Understand and support steel manufacturing business processes.
  • Work with business users to gather and implement requirements.
  • Participate in production support and issue resolution.
Work Location
  • Northwest Indiana
  • Primarily remote, but occasional onsite visits (approximately once a month).
Shift
  • Day shift.
  • Must be available for occasional night on-call support, but they do have other team for that work.

  • These individuals can lead a tool evaluation effort, including the definition of the evaluation criteria, identification of tools to be evaluated, and the actual evaluation.
Has worked on various platforms including mainframes, minis and micros. Work may involve interacting with and managing product vendors/suppliers.
