Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, the Application Developer III (SharePoint Developer) serves as a technical lead in the design, development, and maintenance of the agency's SharePoint Online, Office 365, and the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, PowerApps). This includes designing and developing intranet solutions, including custom layouts, workflows, and web parts. Strong UI/UX design skills and the ability to create user-friendly, accessible interfaces is needed. This role delivers modern, scalable solutions using SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams to automate business processes, ensure secure and accessible systems, and support the full software development lifecycle. The developer works closely with the IT team and leadership to shape and implement software development strategies, and partners with the Application Development team across all phases of development.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and work experience in the modification and maintenance of system programs, the design and development of system software, and the testing and debugging of system software. Minimum of 4 years of experience in SharePoint Online development and building custom applications using modern programming practices, including object-oriented design. An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the required work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with C# or .NET development, including integration with external systems and services. Knowledge of gamification principles in application design.
