Role Description:

The Technical Sales Development Representative (TSDR) plays a vital role in achieving the technical achievements needed to launch products. You will be an important member of our field engineering team. In this position, you will oversee many end-to-end technical tasks, including sophisticated product sample deployments, lifecycle management, addressing technical questions, and other customer interactions. You should adopt an "automation-first" approach to actively find ways to improve processes and apply AI-based workflows in daily operations when possible.

This role can lead to a full-time FAE career for individuals who achieve the right results. It also requires demonstrating the right skills and behaviors.

Example Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the entire process of technical product samples, beginning with configuration and continuing through international shipment tracking to final customer validation
  • Coordinate and track technical product processes across multiple customer accounts
  • Serve as a point of contact for technical product inquiries for some customers and partners to resolve standard questions and raise complex engineering issues for deeper analysis
  • Maintain and update technical product documentation, qualification statuses, and project data within internal systems as well as, in certain instances, customer-facing web portals
  • Orchestrate the communication and execution of product change notices and lifecycle events to guarantee customers are informed of transitions and last-time-buy windows
  • Oversee regional loaner pools of hardware samples and actively manage inventory levels, reservations, and utilization reporting
  • In some instances, manage technical approvals and documentation for manufacturing or factory-level modifications following customer qualification of a product
  • Drive and track the status of technical failure analyses and return authorizations to maintain clear visibility
  • Enter and maintain customer-specific configuration rules to enforce precise hardware supply constraints and engineering recipes
  • Manage custom hardware labeling and packaging requests to ensure strict compliance including unique customer specifications
  • Provide support to Field Application Engineers during active design cycles and qualifications by handling overall operational logistics and arranging the necessary technical materials
  • Prepare technical data and status updates for quarterly customer reviews and subsequently capture and drive follow-up engineering actions
  • Continuously identify and recommend opportunities to automate manual workflows and improve process efficiency with internal digital tools
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an engineering or science field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science)
  • 1 - You should have 3 or more years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry or a related field. Roles can include field application engineer, systems engineer, or hardware test engineer. Recent graduates with relevant co-op or internship experience may also qualify.
  • General knowledge of hardware engineering workflows to effectively support Field Application Engineers and recognize operational obstacles
  • High technical literacy or equivalent experience with the capacity to continuously adapt to frequently changing technology, product roadmaps and lifecycle dates
  • Basic understanding of memory or storage technologies and the related platform technologies (e.g. CPU, GPU, NPU, PMIC...) to assist with technical product questions and configuration requests
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to coordinate between customers and internal teams such as Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain
  • Strong analytical approach and ability to proactively identify process bottlenecks for automation or workflow improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated skill in advancing technical partner enablement by overseeing worldwide training programs, certification efforts, and engineering support platforms
  • Previous experience in an engineering role involving hardware system fixing and board-level building principles
  • Proven experience navigating the unique semiconductor supply requirements and technical qualification nuances across diverse business segments such as Data Center, AI, Mobile or Automotive
  • Experience identifying process bottlenecks and implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve team productivity
