Job description

Sr. Application Developer (Java) Remote
Join a fast-moving team supporting critical business applications and data integrations in a remote environment. As a Sr. Application Developer (Java), you ll translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions delivering application enhancements, implementing data integrations, and helping ensure application and integration frameworks stay current with client security standards. You ll also support maintenance and production support activities, collaborating closely with project and support teams to keep systems running smoothly and improving continuously.
Job Details:
  • Location: Open to Remote or Hybrid in PA
  • Assignment duration: 12 months with extension
  • Be prepared to respond to support calls in off-hours as needed to support 24x7 applications
  • Pay range: $67.00 $80.99 W2

Required Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Java-based application development
  • Demonstrated expertise with Java frameworks and technologies, such as:
    • Spring, Hibernate, JSF, PrimeFaces (and similar frameworks/technologies)
  • Experience delivering production-ready software across the SDLC (Requirements, Analysis, Design, Testing, Implementation, Production Support)
  • Ability to understand and document technical requirements, including:
    • System/module/unit design
    • Unit test plans and test cases
    • Detailed technical design documentation
  • Strong understanding of application quality practices, including:
    • Creating automated tests to prevent regressions to enhancements and integrations
  • Experience collaborating with teams responsible for releases and deployments across environments
  • Proficiency debugging and remediating existing applications based on documented variances and enhancement requests
  • Ability to support code reviews and lead or participate as needed
  • Experience working in a Scrum / cross-functional team environment
  • Strong communication and soft skills: must be able to interact effectively with business clients and communicate clearly with both project and support teams
  • Ready to write sample code or explain methods used for simple problem statements during screening

  • Experience enhancing or upgrading application/data integration frameworks in alignment with security standards
