Job Description Summary
The Sr. Application Operations Engineer will be the primary technical owner for Oracle APEX, its infrastructure, and its integrations, with a strong emphasis on partnering closely with the DT team and manufacturing leadership in implementing digital SQDIP daily management at the sites within the value stream, to support the application infrastructure and integrations. In this role, you will collaborate with value stream leaders, production supervisors, and operations engineers to ensure digital tools directly support SQDC priorities and the needs of the turbine airfoils value stream.
You will sit at the intersection of DT, manufacturing, and operations, translating shop-floor requirements into stable, secure, and high-performing application solutions. You'll work in lockstep with the local DT team to deliver reliable IT services that enable safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
The ideal candidate will have a broad interest in technology and be responsible for the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of our critical applications, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and a passion for problem-solving. A versatile computer savvy individual that is adaptable to support various levels of an IT ecosystem.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Application Deployment and Maintenance: Manage the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of applications in various environments.
  • Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitor application performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Incident Management: Respond to and resolve computer and software incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely on development, QA, and infrastructure to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
  • Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline application operations and improve efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation of application configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance application operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with product service owners on new service introductions, changes, and transitions to operations.
  • Cultivate relationships with customers and suppliers, reviewing innovative ideas, and improving resolution processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR associate's degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
