Southworth International Group, Inc. (SIGI), is hiring for an experience Painter for our Manila, AR location.

SIGI is the world's largest manufacturer of ergonomic material handling equipment for vertical lifting and work positioning. Our products are designed to improve worker productivity while reducing the potential for worker injuries. Anywhere that workers are lifting and positioning items, handling pallets, working with parts in containers or transporting loads in a factory or warehouse, SIGI has a product to make the job faster, safer, and easier.
As a Painter in our facility, your primary responsibility is to apply paint and other coatings to various types of manufacturing machinery and equipment. Your work will contribute directly to the appearance, longevity, and functionality of these machines.
Primary Functions:
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces of machinery for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers as needed
  • Paint Application: Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment according to specifications and industry standards
  • Color Matching: Mix paint to match specified colors and ensure consistency throughout the painting process
  • Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards, including proper coverage, smoothness, and adhesion
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working condition, including cleaning, calibrating, and performing routine maintenance tasks
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to hazardous material handling procedures
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and any issues encountered during the painting process
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other members of the manufacturing team, including engineers, technicians, and production managers, to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of painting tasks
