A DevOps Engineer is experienced with Linux System Administration, strong scripting skills and Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience. With some supervision, a DevOps Engineer I provides administration and support of Linux systems, automation tools Atlassian products, and cloud services. This is a unique opportunity to contribute extensively to the success of a rapidly growing technology company.


The Gig:

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of automated processes.

  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, infrastructure upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

  • Provision and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

  • Research, develop, and implement innovative and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.

  • Provide Tier II support for incidents and requests from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.

  • Maintain and contribute to our knowledge base and documentation.

  • Influence broader technology groups in adopting Cloud technologies, processes, and best practices.

  • Creative thinking and proposing solutions to grow our business by delighting our clients.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.


What you need to make the cut:

  • 2+ years of professional experience with AWS or an AWS Certification

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 2+ years of Linux systems administration and configuration experience.

  • Experience with best practices for Cloud Networking and Security

  • Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions.

  • Experience with DNS and web server configurations.

  • Ability to use AI to quickly come up to speed on large complex codebases

  • Knowledge of automating infrastructure builds utilizing tools such as Gitlab, Terraform and CDK

  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration tools such as ECS or Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.

  • Highly motivated, Innovative, self-directed thinker with an eagerness to stay up to date with current trends and a desire to impress.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


The pay range for this position is 75K to 115K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).


This role is eligible to participate in the quarterly bonus incentive plan.
