Job description

Public Works Engineer I – Transportation & Facilities

The Town of Colchester, Vermont, is seeking a committed, organized, and analytical engineering professional with exceptional written and oral communication skills. The Public Works Engineer I position is expected to have a primary focus on transportation and facilities, requiring a working knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and concepts, applied to the construction of smaller scale construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or a closely-related field. Two (2) years of related experience preferred. Any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered qualifying. This position requires a valid driver’s license.
