This is not a remote position.


This is an entry-level Epic Application Analyst position who plays a crucial role in the implementation, maintenance, and support of Epic Tapestry application for NEMS MSO operation. This position involves working closely with end-users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective use of Epic Tapestry software to enhance the medical management workflow efficiency in managed care business operation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Implementation and Configuration:
    • Assist in the implementation and configuration of Epic Tapestry modules.
    • Work with MSO operation teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system configurations.
    • Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure integration with existing systems.
  • Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Provide first-level support for end-users experiencing issues with Epic Tapestry.
    • Investigate and troubleshoot reported problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
    • Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Training and Documentation:
    • Conduct training materials for end-users on the proper use of Epic Tapestry.
    • Create and update documentation related to system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
    • Participate in testing activities, including system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
    • Ensure the quality and reliability of Epic applications by conducting thorough testing.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Claims, Utilization Management (UM), Provider Network Operation (PNO), Case Management (CM), Eligibility and Capitation management, EDI transmission, VBC administrators, and IT professionals.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project statuses.
  • Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor
  • BA/BS required or 2 years of relevant work experience in healthcare maybe substituted.
  • Epic Tapestry certification or credentialed in one or more modules or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook).
  • Ability to work on rotational after hours and Saturdays as needed.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology (JIRA) ticketing system preferred.
  • Previous experience with healthcare IT systems or Epic applications preferred.

LANGUAGE:

  • Ability to read and write English fluently is required.
  • Fluency in other languages is an asset.

STATUS:

  • This is a FLSA Non-exempt position.
  • This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
  • This is a Full Time position.
