POSITION SUMMARY
IMMEDIATE HIRE
The Senior Appliance Repair Technician serves as Villatel's lead technical resource for appliance repair, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and equipment performance across our luxury vacation home portfolio in Davenport, Florida. This role is responsible for ensuring all residential appliances operate safely, efficiently, and according to Villatel's standards of excellence and guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled technician with extensive experience troubleshooting and repairing residential appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, ovens, microwaves, and ice makers. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert for appliance-related repairs, oversee appliance vendors, support preventative maintenance initiatives, and help maintain the overall functionality and readiness of Villatel homes.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Appliance Specialization & Technical Leadership:
  • Maintain the full functionality of all residential appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, dishwashers, microwaves, ovens, cooktops, washers, dryers, and other household equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on residential appliances across Villatel's portfolio.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for appliance-related repairs, preventative maintenance programs, and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Manage and coordinate third-party appliance vendors to ensure repairs are completed efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with Villatel standards.
  • Perform final quality inspections on appliance repairs, replacements, and installations to ensure homes are fully operational and guest-ready.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Maintenance & Engineering team members regarding appliance troubleshooting and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of appliance repairs, replacement recommendations, inventory levels, spare parts, tools, and equipment usage within Breezeway.
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend solutions to improve performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Operational Continuity:
  • Function as a highly skilled, hands-on technician capable of independently completing assigned work orders and repairs.
  • Maintain accountability for the timely and accurate completion of appliance-related service requests while ensuring Villatel's standards of quality and guest satisfaction are consistently met.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch, Operations, and the Manager on Duty (MOD) to prioritize urgent appliance issues and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with general residential maintenance tasks and troubleshooting as operational needs require.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs designed to maximize appliance lifespan, reduce service interruptions, and improve the guest experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in appliance repair, residential maintenance, or a related technical field.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with demonstrated experience repairing refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, microwaves, washers, dryers, and other major household appliances.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Experience working with appliance manufacturers, service vendors, warranty providers, and repair contractors preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and perform effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as needed.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel between Villatel properties.
  • EPA Certification, appliance repair certifications, trade certifications, or manufacturer certifications are preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus and beneficial for communicating with a diverse team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and service vehicles required to perform job duties.
