Job Summary:

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of your designated assisted living community, ensuring programs align with our mission to provide comfort, connection, and dignity to every resident. This leadership role also works to create a positive and supportive workplace where staff feel valued and supported in their development. By leading department heads, this role ensures the community meets—and exceeds—our high standards of care and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the overall operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all residents by upholding the highest standards of care and service
  • Supervise and support department leaders to ensure effective, coordinated service delivery
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified staff; promote a positive and productive workplace culture
  • Oversee financial operations including budgeting, billing, payroll, and expense management; meet occupancy and revenue goals
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and the surrounding community
  • Lead quality assurance and improvement initiatives; respond to and resolve resident concerns and complaints promptly and effectively
  • Participate in marketing and community outreach to maintain strong census levels and promote the facility’s reputation
  • Maintain documentation and reporting in accordance with state licensing and audit requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Certificate/License per state
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, public health, or a related field 
  • Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare administration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulations, Assisted Living Licensure statutes, and best practices in senior care
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively
  • Strong financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and state reporting systems preferred
  • Must pass required criminal background check in order to serve vulnerable adults
  • Strong focus on occupancy and leading sales
  • Must be screened TB and other state-required health care conditions
  • Be able to read, write, and comprehend English

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Indoors, climate-controlled assisted living facility with a focus on personalized care
  • Possible exposure to unpleasant odors. 
  • Possible exposure to chemicals as indicated in the MSDS manual. 
  • Continuous exposure to clients and/or family members who may be under stress.
