You are someone who is energized by turning complex data into clear answers, who takes pride in the quality and reliability of your work, and who is eager to grow their craft in a high-impact environment. If you believe great analytics starts with understanding the business first, this role was built for you.
Description
In this role, you will play a key role in the analytical foundation of ASO Operations - supporting business partners in understanding performance challenges, contributing to metrics frameworks that drive accountability, and translating data into clear, actionable insights. You will work alongside experienced analytics and data engineering teammates to develop and maintain the KPIs, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure that keep operational teams aligned and informed. Your work will connect day-to-day data to real business outcomes - and every analysis you deliver will be in direct service of helping Apple's largest store perform at its best.","responsibilities":"Support the definition, development, and governance of operational KPIs and performance metrics for ASO Operations - partnering with business stakeholders to understand priorities, document methodology, align teams on consistent definitions, and contribute to reporting infrastructure that delivers reliable visibility into business health and performance trends.
Partner with Operations and Workforce Planning teams to translate business objectives and operational challenges into clear analytical requirements and data solutions - ensuring every analysis and technical implementation maps to a meaningful business outcome.
Conduct quantitative analyses to surface performance trends, anomalies, root causes, and forecasting signals - and deliver findings as clear, actionable narratives and self-serve dashboards tailored to both operational and business audiences.
Define data requirements and collaborate with Data Engineering to help develop and maintain the data models, reporting systems, and infrastructure that serve as a trusted source of truth for ASO Operations performance.
Build strong working relationships with cross-functional partners in Operations, Finance, Commercial, and Programs teams - proactively engaging to understand business needs and ensure data solutions reflect the complexity of the business.
Contribute to data quality, consistency, and self-serve enablement - supporting the development of data dictionaries, metric glossaries, and documentation standards that help business partners access and trust data independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand operational workflows and connect data to business outcomes - including experience translating analytical findings into clear narratives that support operational decision-making and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with KPI and performance management frameworks such as OKRs or operational scorecards, and an interest in how data infrastructure supports tracking and accountability at scale.

Background or coursework in workforce analytics, digital operations, or retail operations - with an understanding of how staffing, volume, efficiency, and customer experience metrics work together to shape business performance.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously - maintaining attention to detail and clear communication even as priorities shift in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or equivalent platforms - with an interest in designing dashboards and reporting solutions that make data accessible and actionable for a broad audience.

Strong SQL proficiency and working experience with Python or equivalent scripting for data analysis and manipulation - paired with the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to take initiative, build trust, and develop strong working relationships across teams - comfortable navigating a matrixed organization and contributing to shared goals without direct authority.
Demonstrated ability to approach ambiguous problems with curiosity and structure - breaking down complex challenges into clear analytical questions and delivering well-reasoned, actionable recommendations.
