The ASE Observability team is responsible for designing, building, and operating the core observability platforms that enable engineering organizations at Apple to monitor, debug, and optimize infrastructure and systems at scale. We develop platform solutions that provide comprehensive visibility into application performance, system health, and operational metrics across the entire technology stack. We are on a journey to continue building our next-generation observability platform with new capabilities like Distributed Tracing, Logging and Continuous profiling.

Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and OSS tools in the Observability space
Proficient in one of Java, Rust is desirable.
Familiarity with Kubernetes on Linux is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience and insight into designing, implementing and supporting highly scalable infrastructure services.
10 to 15 years of industry experience in building and maintaining backend distributed systems.
Deep understanding of core computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and concurrent
programming.
Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities.
Passion for developing and testing clear, robust code.
Ability to learn and apply new technologies and frameworks.
Great communication skills.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $205,400 and $308,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
