Position Description:

Architects software solutions that deliver digital experiences on hybrid mobile/web platforms using Ionic, Angular, and React within cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure). Builds server-side Graph and REST Application Program Interfaces (APIs) by employing technology tools (Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and NodeJS). Develops and improves responsive web applications using web components, micro-frontends, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and SASS/CSS3. Analyzes production and performance issues with mobile applications using Splunk and Datadog to identify and troubleshoot issues. Builds secure, password-less, and biometric authentication features for mobile applications using identity assurance tools (DAON and Android SDK) and libraries and develops security integration solutions using security protocols and standard methodologies, OAuth and Open ID Connect. Builds automation pipelines using DevSecOps automation methodologies and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Cl/CD) (Jenkins Core, BitBucket, and GitHub). Integrates mobile processes with security tools for code analysis scanning using Sonar, Veracode, and Mend. Works with complex product and models for portfolio construction. Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Enables the rapid delivery of feature-to-market components through a trunk-based feature drive development model and feature toggles.
  • Leads, defines, and implements technical architecture blueprints, governance, and oversight for digital applications and capabilities.
  • Works closely with mobile engineering teams to provide oversight for code governance, quality, review, and implementation design.
  • Integrates tools for mobile application observability and monitoring, including crash reporting and analytics.
  • Ensures quality code through proper code reviews and unit testing.
  • Manages complex software projects and initiatives within Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) environment.
  • Designs, develops and modifying complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Architecture (or closely related occupation) developing large scale enterprise mobile native and hybrid applications within a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Architecture (or closely related occupation) developing large scale enterprise mobile native and hybrid applications within a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") performing hybrid and native iOS and Android mobile application architecture, design and development, including accessibility testing using programming languages -- Typescript, Java, Kotlin, Objective-C and Swift; using frame-works including Jetpack Compose, Swift UI, Kotlin Multi-Platform, Angular, and Ionic Capacitor, while adhering to Clean Architecture, MVVM, MVC, MVP, and Viper architecttures patterns and standards.
  • DE performing design and development of customized mobile features -- Push Notifications, Telemetry, In-app Notifications, Wearable SDKs, Virtual Assistant, Widgets, and Mobile Security including password-less and biometric authentication - using identity assurance tools (DAON, FIDO - Android/iOS SDKs); implementing security protocols and standards; using OAuth and OpenID Connect for Android, iOS and supported framework for hybrid as well as native mobile apps including Inter-Process Communication, Single Sign On, token-based authentication mechanism, app attestation, and jailbreak detection SSL pinning; and building strong encryption mechanisms to store and retrieve sensitive data.
  • DE architecting, designing, and building new enterprise shared and reusable features as An-droid and iOS SDKs to ship to multiple mobile applications and relevant library upgrades for hybrid and native mobile applications - Kotlin, Swift, KMP, Ionic Capacitor, and Angu-lar; using Dependency Injection frameworks, Hilt or Koin; developing mobile application processes using trunk-based development and Launch Darkly-based feature toggle methods with different rollout strategies including live updates of features; and using Jen-kins with Fastlane integration for app deployment to Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • DE architecting and designing cloud-native solutions for mobile and web platforms using AWS and Azure services, Sprint MVC, Sprint Boot, REST, GRAPH, Microservices, and Telemetry, including containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes), serverless components (Lambda), and API Gateways; and integrating observability tools, Splunk, Datadog and RUM tools for performance and real user monitoring and troubleshooting.
