Work you'll do

As a Software Engineer III on the GPS Engineering as a Service team, you will be responsible for delivering Appian-based business process solutions that support mission objectives.

  • Lead design and development for an Appian replatforming effort replacing legacy capabilities. 
  • Own build quality across Appian components, including records, interfaces, process models, reports, and integrations, while guiding development standards and resolving technical issues. 
  • Partner with architects, analysts, testers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions and support sprint planning, estimation, deployment readiness, and environment transitions. 
  • Participate in Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and release support.
  • Apply Appian development standards, reusable components, and performance practices to support maintainability and technical quality.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Appian Certified Developer
  • Active Public Trust security clearance
  • 5+ years of software development or software delivery experience
  • 3+ years of experience integrating Appian applications with enterprise data sources, application programming interfaces, and third-party services
  • 3+ years of experience documenting technical solutions, processes, and configurations for sustainment and audit readiness
  • 1+ years of experience with Agile/scrum delivery 
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • API and relational database experience
  • Legacy modernization/replatforming experience
