Job description

The pharmacist provides comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in central and decentral areas. Services include (but are not limited to) pharmacokinetic and therapeutic consultation for certain medications, implementing and monitoring pharmacy protocols such as renal dosing, parenteral nutrition and therapeutic interchange, and participation in the medication reconciliation process. The pharmacist is responsible for order verification, accurate dispensing of both inpatient and outpatient medication orders and is responsible for the supervision and approval of work done by pharmacy technicians before dispensing.

Pharmacists precept IPPE and APPE pharmacy students, as well as CentraCare PGY-1 pharmacy residents.  

Patients of all ages are served. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Our Best Begins with Me culture principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

Schedule:

  • Full-time | 60-84 hours per two weeks 
  • Days/Nights | 9am-9:30pm and 1:30pm-1:30am | rotating 4-week template | 12- hour shifts
  • Includes every 4th weekend and rotating holidays.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting pay begins at $62.10 per hour and increases with experience
    • Pay range: $62.10-$93.15 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree and/or Pharm. D. 
  • Advanced training (residency, fellowship, and/or board certification) preferred and/or previous hospital experience.
  • Current licensure by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for those working in critical care areas and the Emergency Trauma Center, we can help you obtain after hire.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for those working in Pediatric Units and the Emergency Trauma Center, we can help you obtain after hire.
