Job Description
Keithly Williams Seeds, a large Western Agribusiness, is looking for a Product Development Representative to work in Ontario Office and surrounding territory. This position will be responsible for planting and evaluating vegetable trials.
Position Overview:
Place, plant, evaluate and keep accurate records of new variety introductions from breeder producer companies. The end objective is to determine the suitability and adaptability of vegetable varieties to regional growing conditions.
Educational Skills:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Successful completion of a four-year college degree program (B.S. in agriculture-related major) or five years comparable agriculture experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  1. Need English speaking skills to present oral reports in a professional manner.
  2. Basic math skills, includes draw and interpret bar graphs, along with other basic math functions.
  3. Able to evaluate and record data accurately and consistently.
  4. Valid driver's license in state of residence with clean driving record
  5. Computer proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and windows environment
  6. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  7. Ability to lift up 75 pounds

Duties and Responsibilities, including, but are not limited to:
  1. Assist in planning trial programs for Keithly-Williams Seeds in direct communication with breeder producer companies and sales representatives for assigned territory.
  2. Plant trials.
  3. Monitor trials.
  4. Evaluate trials
  5. Record trial evaluations of all trials planted and is responsible for dissemination of information gained from trials to appropriate representatives regarding the best interest of Keithly-Williams Seeds.
  6. Assist in maintaining inventory of trial seeds and disburse as needed.
  7. Assist with the office to include warehousing, deliveries, cycle counts and other duties

Salary offers are made based on the candidates experience and in correlation with internal employees with the same job classification and experience level.
