THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Apparel Production Manager to lead production for a high-volume apparel division serving major retail accounts. In this leadership role, you will oversee the full production lifecycle from development through delivery, ensuring product quality, on-time execution, and margin optimization across multiple large-scale programs. This is not a remote position.This position reports into the SVP of Consumer Products.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the full production lifecycle from development through delivery ensuring product quality, on-time execution, and margin optimization across multiple large-scale programs

  • Lead and manage the production calendar, ensuring all key milestones are met across multiple programs

  • Oversee vendor capacity planning and workload distribution to align with order volume and delivery timelines

  • Partner cross-functionally with Graphic Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, and Sales to execute seasonal strategies

  • Negotiate cost, delivery terms, and production lead times with factories to achieve margin goals

  • Anticipate and resolve production challenges, identifying risks and implementing proactive solutions to maintain quality and deadlines

  • Track and approve lab dips, strike-offs, trims, fit samples, and TOPs

  • Ensure all production and testing standards meet retailer compliance and packaging requirements

  • Monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement in speed, cost efficiency, and product quality

  • Collaborate with Compliance and Logistics teams to ensure smooth handoff, booking, and delivery

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in apparel production, with a strong focus on private label or major retail / club programs

  • In-depth knowledge of strict sustainability compliance, testing, and delivery requirements

  • Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and large seasonal orders simultaneously

  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and time management skills

  • Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management abilities

  • PLM experience required

  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with production calendars and costing tools

  • Experience managing or mentoring a team


WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

  • Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
