Apparel

Manager Job Duties

The Apparel

Department Manager's primary responsibility is to oversee the growth and daily operations of the apparel department, ensure the highest standards of customer service, and properly manage associates within the department.

Assistant Store Manger duties as listed in job description

Training of department staff

RIS reports/ Viewers/ Misc reports as needed

Create signage as needed for sales floor

Run suggested orders weekly and place orders as needed

Place seasonal orders as needed (Carhartt, Under Armour, etc.)

Product maintenance in Epicor:price changes, enter new items, discontinue items as needed

Inventory maintenance: Annually at a minimum- to be completed before holiday season.Spot-checks to be done on a regular basis

Communicate with Apparel staff: check-ins at start and end of shifts, provide daily checklists for staff, special projects, daily/ nightly to-do lists. Resolve staff issues and scheduling issues within department.

Plan seasonal merchandising of department

Responsible for general upkeep and cleanliness of department

Make sure all product styles/ colors/ sizes are represented on sale floor

Approval of staff time off requests and time card issues

Make sure employees follow policies & procedures. Reprimand appropriately as needed

Coordinate sales: make employees aware, change pricing in Epicor, create signage, etc.

Advertising for department: flyers, FB posts, etc.

Hire/ assist in hiring apparel staff

Responsible for apparel returns/ damages

Assist apparel and Service Desk staff with customer issues/ concerns

Take apparel-related phone calls

Resolve invoice/ receiving discrepancies

Staff evaluations as necessary

Coordinate special orders for customers

Assist Receiving as needed: regular orders, receiving issues, coordinate seasonal order deliveries

Review monthly sales numbers, make adjustments as needed

Overall merchandising of department

Evaluate new products

Attend Apparel/ footwear/ trade shows as needed. Travel as needed.
